MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well, it is almost January and I made it this far without health insurance. Of course,I am in mucho debt. In January I can enroll in Medicare B. Show the state that I have it and hopefully get my insurance back. The Congress has passed the Insurance Reform Bill. Now, each chamber has to reconcile their bills so that President Obama can review it, veto it, or sign it. Stay tuned. I am staying home tomorrow. I don't have the spirit needed to deal with people. I have no money to buy gifts, so it is better that I keep myself home. I got plenty of food here and reading materials. I am all right.

Congress and other things

They are actually working in the wee hours of the morning. The Republicans voted in a bloc against the bill. BRATS. The Media just found out that the Obamas have always vacationed in Hawaii. BIG DEAL! It was worth it to see Oprah's White House special. Barak and Michelle Obama were so relaxed and so "us." This is a wonderful time in our history.
The FBI had a file on Michael. They had files on MLK,Jr, Malcolm, JFK, RFK, Medgar,and John Lennon. So he was in good company. But all of the corrupt politicians, the loose pedifiles,and the serial killers who are still around functioning under their radar are still out there. The "J. Edgar Hoover mentality"
still exists.

SNOW!

21 inches of snow. No cnurch today. So,let us eat, drink(hot chocolate)and watch Football all day. Read a bit and wait for someone to shovel out my walkway. And Thank God that I am in a comfortable home. Whatever the problems, I am safe in the arms of Jesus.

Good Morning

Snow is coming. I just finished paying for leaf removal. Now, I have to contend with snow. Yes, a move back to apartment living is coming. I really can't afford it here. However, it was a wonderful experiment. Where and when? The Summer months and where is close by. I need to stay near my doctors and hospital. I really want to move to a Senior Citizen's complex. I am calmer than I was yesterday. Panic, then realize that panic doesn't help. Cry, but I can't cry a lot. So,I am resigned to face the consequences. GOD BLESS US EVERYONE.

My account is over drawn and I have lost my ATM card. Unlike a credit card, I will have to pay the bank out of my next deposit. There will not be a Christmas in my house this year. I am not going near people. I can't pretend that all is well with me. And, I am so alone. So very alone.

Please . . .

While we should be applaudiing the world for seeing what President Obama is trying to accomplish, we are still focusing on Tiger Woods'arrogance in thinking that he was above morality. The President got the Nobel Peace Prize for his vision. Make no mistake, we did not elect Mr.Obama. This was all God's doing. And when God does something, it is not a mistake. God is not going to leave the President to the mercy of Beck or Limbaugh. The prayers of the righteous are with him and his agenda.
Watch the Republicans as they take their "marbles'and quit the game. They are sulking instead of trying to help. They are acting like "spoiled brats."
I do applaud Tiger for not talking. He doesn't owe America anything. He owes his family everything. If he comes through this with his family still in tact, he just ought to get on his kness and thank God all day long.

Tiger Woods, Micheal Vick and Allen Iverson

Now you know someone is lying. Too many women coming out of the rat's nest. 15 minutes of fame. Wrecking his marriage. Wrecking his image. Wrecking his career. Please continue your silence. You don't owe the public anything. Your choice of women was wrong. Now, you just have to "suck it up" and deal with your wife. Deal with your family first.
Kudos to Michael Vick. The talent is still there. IT's coming around. More playing time will show the world that God has not left him. He did say that God blessed him on Sunday. God has forgiven him, why can't they?
Allen Iverson, one of my children, is back home. and, he still has the stamina to be exciting. God has recycled his attitude. He will be all right now. It's time to leave the possee and act the part of an adult.
AIN't God all right? Can't he change attitudes and actions. Praise the Lord.

WE GOT ALLEN BACK AND HE IS THE ANSWER; AT LEAST FOR ATTENDANCE. THE WACHOVIA CETER IS SOLD OUT. GOD HAS A WAY OF HUMBLING US. WHEN HE CRIED IN FRONT OF ALL OF THOSE "MR. MACHOS," I KNEW THAT HE WAS SINCERE. HE CAN NOW GO OUT IN STYLE. GOD IS WITH HIM, BECAUSE WE ARE PRAYING FOR HIS SUCCESS.
As for Tiger, this is his crucible. I don't know anything about his religion. I just know that his father isn't here to help him. He has got to rely on God(if he knows him),prayer(if he knows how), and truth(if he knows how to tell the truth.)

1. Leave Tiger Woods alone. If it was domestic, no one was abused physically and he left to avoid any confrontation. It is really not our business.
2. Come home Allen. Philadelphia needs your talents. Philadelphia needs your energy. Make some sort of deal, so that you can retire on top.
3. Christmas has gone commercial again. After all, the stores control the spirit. Try as they may, the Christian community is fighting a battle to get the parents to remember that toys and electronic gifts are no where near as valuable as the gift
from God, Jesus the Christ. I wonder if many parents and children will go to a church to hear the real Christmas story. Imagine, there wouldn't be a season if Christ had not been born.
4.No Christmas tree this year.

I just can't get it right. And, sometimes I get tired of trying. I got up to go and get a bluetooth and checked my checking account. It is overdrawn. So, I am going back to bed. I know that I am supposed to have faith. But and there is a but. I know I am supposed to not be envious of others who seem to have it easier than I. But, and there is but. Right now, I am so tired. I am just tired.

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving. I just saw a card use my driveway as a u-turn, and my car is parked out there this morning. There is little/no respect or honor these days. What if he accidently hit my rear, would he stop and knock on my door and acknowledge his mistake? Too many people disrespect the office of the presidency. They may not like the person in the office, but the office deserves respect. Men don't remove their hats when they enter church or any building anymore. Yes and no has been replaced by "nah and yea" or the grunts. Young people try to use their parents'first names.
Respect and honor are not demanded. Manners are not demanded. Proper dress is not demanded(Don't let me get started on that.) And, from whom should this teaching come?
PARENTS. Teachers can't do it without the parents getting angry and coming in cursing them out. The church can't do it unless the child is brought to church.

Sarah Palin

Please, let's be real. With all of the problems in this country, you have not offered a solution to any of them. What should our foreign policy be in Afghanistan? Because you don't believe in abortion, why should you tell that woman who was raped that she should carry that baby to term? Do you really think that African-American babies are adopted as much as white or foreighn babies? And, why should I listen to you when you let your teenage daughter have sex with her boyfriend in your home? Does this show your values?
I get so angry because of all of the attention that you are receiving. Issues like health insurance should be taking precedent. I would like to know about the economy of Alaska. How did you handle poverty,homelessness,lack of insurance or affordable housing? What exactly isyour record? We need substance over glitter.

So much has happened since I last wrote.
I have an idea to stand in the middle of a Congressional session and yell "HEY!" I'm here, the little average person that you were elected to represent. But you seem to be representing yourselves. Your Republicans are so childish that you have taken your marbles and gone home. You Democrats have a chance to show America that you are really the people's party, BUT,you argue so much among yourselves. President Obama can't fulfill his promises to the American people. What you did was ride his coattails to get elected. Now,however, you don't need him( or you think you don't). GET WITH THE PROGRAM.
I need insurance. I got my bills piling up.Sofar since June, I have accummulated up to $5000( heart monitor, ER visit, and Dental(which I thought that I was paying)).

Lots of Things

President Obama will get the Nobel Peace Prize. Rush Limbaugh wanted to become part owner of an NFL team. Be careful what you say and how you comport yourself. Mr. Obama is about peace and trying to better our lives. Mr. Limbaugh is about himself, his ultra-conservatism that is bent on racist remarks and Mr. Obama's failure. Is it any wonder that those who were going to work with him get scared of his mouth.Is it any wonder that the players didn't wan't him as an owner. Look at what FOX NEWS does. Their coverage is slanted to the negative side of NEWS. If Mr. Obama looks up, they look down. God has a sense of humor, but he does not like ugly. And, he will only let people go so far in their criticism of his chosen. Yes, Mr. Obama was chosen. And, he will succeed, because he is being prayed for and he knows how to pray.

I am so tired lately. Well, lately, I have become accutely aware that I have Lupus. I know that I have had it for 30 years, but when I was working, it took a back seat to life. I worked, took my medicine and played. Now that I am retired, I tire more easely. I take more medicine and I can't do what I once did. I am just so tired today.

Stuff

1.The Tea Parties have been an excuse for some people to subtly let their racist attitudes show. The signs and the disrespectful taunts are not necessary in a debate. Terroristic tactics such as coercion, intimidation and yelling are not a part of a debate. They are tactics used to scare the populus. The health insurance initiative is dead as we know it. All of the sound and fury has scared the politicians. They want to get re-elected, so I won't have the coverage I need to buy all of my prescriptions.
2. Thank you President Carter. when you were in office, they discriminated against you because you practiced you faith. You saw/felt the subtle stabs at you. Now they are doing it to Presdient Obama. The awful signs and the loud rhetoric are getting in the way of his vision. The louder and more awful the oppositon are, the real facts cannot get out.
3. Civility is not dead. It is just waiting for really patriotic Americans and Christians to speak up and speak out. Vote for change and act on American principles. Pray much,long and specifically for the health of the country. Continue to keep our president in prayer. He was elected. He will be with us for until 2012, so no matter what, HE IS THE PRESIDENT. He was given the vision. He needs some Nehemiahs "with a mind to work" to get his initiatives past the "sound and fury" and into the public. Read the proposals. Ask pertinent questions. Make up your own mind.

Lesson plans

I have been sick, so lots of good stuff passed me by. First, the president put out a guide to his speech to Americas's youth. Then the critics went crazy. They didn't want the President to talk to their children. They thought he was going to be political. Well, the speech came out and there was only positive statements. Did they apologize. No! The fact is that in this area of the country, students don't come back to school fully until Thursday. And when they come to school lockers are given out, books are given out, and the first assignments are given out. Students are worried about getting to class on time(especailly the Freshmen).
Imagine, if you can, my childhood with Ike as president. He was white and old. Then JFk brought youth into the White House, BUT, they killed him. Then I had old LBJ, Jimmy Carter, Nixon, and Reagan. They looked old and they did not look like me. Clinton brought a breath of youth and sunshine. And, he knew me as a race. Then look, Obama is me. Imagine young people looking at themselves. I can be president. I can be Secretary of State. I can be Attorney General. Yet, they don't want us to see what we can be.

Emmett TIll's Glass Casket

The glass casket of Emmett Till showed the world the results of racism in 1955. The sheer hatred over an innocent act of a Negro youth visiting the South showed the world that hatred was condoned by the law. That casket will now be put in the Smithsonian to remind us where we were. It will remind how we got here and how far we still have to go.
The glass casket is really a metaphor for us today. Look at the face in that casket. Look at the face in the mirror. Do you see racism and discrimination based on language, poverty, skin color, sexism, religion, jobs,living condition, education(or lack of).

Forgiveness

There is something so wrong with Catholics and Protestants who really profess that they love Christ. They can't seem to forgive. But you have to be liberal to forgive and that is a curse word in this country these days. Fow News took the time to bring up Ted Kennedy's tragedy in 1969; his drinking and philandering. Why couldn't they have stuck with the theme of the day; a celebration of his life.?
"The Good is oft interred with their bones." Years of positive living and being the consummate legislator cannot erase the past. Some people in this country listen to the worst in the Media. Their job is to look at the news from the dark side.Yet, they are good Mass attending, Sunday-go-to-meeting Christians. No wonder Michael Vick will have a hard time. GOd, be with your Children

My Health

Now I have nerve endings in my toes that burn and tingle at any time. It's a part of Fibromaglia. I did not know that Lupus was so closely related to it. The pain has gotten so excruciating that I have been to the ER and to my podiatrist. He gave me METANX which immediately made me drowsy, but it worked. I slept all night last night for the first time in two weeks. So, I have to take it when I come in for the day. It is a 21 day experiment. Well, tomorrow, I will have insurance. I am going to pay my first preminum. This will cover me until January or beyond. Prescriptions and office visits. I have been saying this all morning. God is all right. Ain't God all right.

Michael Vick

Okay, now all of the animal rights people are going to use him as a way to get money. Donations are drying up, because of the Economy. So, they are making the Eagles organization give them money for their propaganda. Eveyone is not a animal lover. Many people would rather focus on the abused children who are bullied, cursed at, burned, beaten, sexually assaulted, etc. I love animals at a distance; not in my home. I have stuffed animals. Please, let the young man prove that he still has the ability. His talent is God given,so God has not abandoned him. The Devil, in the guise of the animal right movement, is attacking him. The devil does not forgive. this is so obvious. Some perspective is needed. Homelessness, lack of health insurance, public education are my priorities. Dog food, cat food, dog clothes are expensive. think of how that money could be used.

A Computer is a funny thing

We have made them so much a part of our lives, that when they go down, we get lost. Well, mine is in Rehab, and I am going through withdrawal. However, I read more and I am relaxed. When it gets fixed, I will be all right. If it doesn't get fixed right away, I will be all right.

I just heard that my Eagles have a heart. They just signed Michael to a two year contract. Now if PETA would just leave him alone and let him play football with his God given talent. Well, Donovan had better look over his shoulders. That young man looks good when he throws, scrambles, and runs. And, he will be out to prove himself.

LISTEN TO ME #2

I fell very good today. My toes didn't flare up as much today as they did yesterday. Must be the prednisone. I can't aford the Lyrica or any of the expensive pills I once took. However, God has opened a door for me, and I will just have to wait until I get some money to get into this insurance policy. I fired off an angry e-mail to the SHBP yesterday, but I don't expect help from them. I e-mailed legal aid in Camden and I haven't heard form them, either. I will make it. If it's just to spite those who wish me dead. They must, because why else would they use a technicality to suspend my coverage. My spirits could be better,but I will make it.

I don't have health insurance!! Why doesn't the news media ask people like me what we do? Why do they go to Canada and other countries to compare us? Why don't they come out of their offices in their various cities and interview the people down the street and around the corner who don't have money for food and medicine? And why don't they publish the President's proposal on their web sites and in the papers so people won't be so rude and combative. When you've got knowledge, you've got power. You don't have to be angry at what you don't know. But no one is listening to anyone else.
Rush and Bill, you and your so called conservatives are the loudest, most wrong people. You know that when people are yelling, no one is listening, and, that's what you want. You want the President to fail. But when the yelling stops, the President will still be the president. It's only seven months. You forget that he has millions praying and working for his success. He will succeed. As a representative of which ever side you represent, your belligerence will last briefly,but cooler heads will provide a clearness of purpose and realty.

Forgiveness/Justice

Michael Vick is still a dynamic foorball player. He has paid his dues to Society. So, why won't Society let him earn a living? Or is it a matter of "hate the sin and the sinner?" I want to see him fall back and throw that football to someone who can run for the touchdown. Or I want to see him scramble for yardage. It's over. Let him go on to greater heights by using his God given talent.
I love Mr. Obama, but I am tired of seeing him on TV. Stay home at the White House and let your cabinet members and staff do their jobs. Oh and while you are at it, get a church home. I know that you know God and he knows you. Drive down to First Baptist Church in DC. They would love to have you. Get those children in Sunday School. I know you pray, but Church going is also needed.
President Clinton, you still got it. You subtle stance in North Korea spoke volumes. Body language in Diplomacy is very important and you used it quite well. Even thought they used propaganda in touting that you came, Americans saw that you did what was required and nothing more. Thank God for your expertise in world politics.

Scapegoat

Who is to be blame for Michael's drug use? They are going after the doctor who should have known better. But the ultimate blame falls on Michael. His need to sleep and to be free of pain caused him to demand outrageous medication. And, the doctors and suppliers did what they did, because they thought that they were helping him. He had the money and he had the need. They wanted to stay on his good side,so they did what he asked. Now, those family members who are demanding justice need to look in their own mirrors. Didn't they know what was going on? Were they afraid that they might be excomminicated from his inner circle? There ie enough blame to go around.
And, since when does 911 need to know the race of someone who is breaking into a house? It sounds like "racism" from the start. It was "stupid." It was senseless. No one is going to apologize, but when they found out who Dr. Gates was, why didn't they just leave?

Everything

I haven't been here in weeks. They still won't let Michael rest in peace. He is the only one to blame if he took those drugs. Now, I had to call the police to break into my house once. Thank GOd I live in an all black community. I know the laughter. There should have been laughter. The neighbor should have looked more closely. Automatically, a black man is robbing. Yes, it was stupid. Bill Cosby, it was stupid. Mr. Obama is black. Had it been he or his brother-in-law, it would have been the same. A black mega-star had problems in a taxi in New York. Skip Gates is Black. The man had a cane. The man had a cane. Couldn't they have said that they were sorry and left the man at home. That's all. Racism is not dead. It is inbred. The policeman pulling out his past dealings with our race was saying
"I don'thave a racist bone in my body." I heard that all of my teaching tenure in a white district. When they didn't want me to teach their children, they would say that.

Thank God for the news. This week they are going after the Supreme Court nominee. She was right when she said that a latino woman had more compassion and common sense than a white male. Those weren't her exact words, but after all minorities have gone through, we use empathy,compassion and common sense when dealing with life. The Republicans are trying to stall the inevitable. She will be confirmed.

Words do hurt!

When we were children, our parents tsught us "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." That is a lie. Words do hurt. Verbal abuse from authority figures, teasing from so-called friends and family, and things said in haste without thinking of another's feelings do hurt. I made a mistake in a e-mail that I thought that I had sent. In a few short words, I felt that person's anger and I am hurt by that attitude. Maybe it's the time of day or the fact that others noticed the mistake and asked me to correct it, but not this person. I am truly taken aback and hurt by the attitude. I use words to make someone feel good and to think about a situation. I use words to mourn and to praise. As a teacher, I used words to explain, to make ua laugh at ourselves and to make us appreaciate ourselves and others. Of one thing I am cured. I will not be passing anything on to anyone else to read. So any prayer will stop with me. I amreally upset about this.

Racism is still alive.

It is a shame that the campers who went to that Swim CLub had to find out that they were living a lie. They thought that everyone would accept them. They thought that since Obama had been elected president, they were accepted. No! That's why there are still private clubs. I live near a country club and I drive past a swim club. It's right across the street from an African-American community. Do we see an African-Americans drive into the parking lot? Do we know if there are any African-American members? Our young people need to be taught that there is still a racial and a cultural divide. They need to go back to the old theory that we need to know more and be just to be equal.

All day long I was glued to the TV. I was happy to hear Roland Martin explain that our funerals are Homegoing Celebrations. Sadness is secondary to the life that the person led. Michael gave so much more of himself than we knew. In the days ahead, they are going to be talking about the negatives of the will and the drug comsumption. But that won't overshadow the love that his fans and even his critics can't deny. Michael was a musical genius. Michael's full impact is yet to be felt. In the days to follow, the cameras will be gone. The friends will be gone, and, the family members will be back at their own homes. The reality will truly set in. Michael is, I think, is in tha Mansion assigned to the composers, dancers, humanitarians, and geniuses. He's there. Thank you Lord for sharing him with the world.

I have written this before, but it deserves repeating. Mark Antony's deceptive speech about Julius Caesar says "The evil that men do lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones." He goes on to say "So let it be with Caesar." I am going to say "So, let it be with Michael." We have been inundated with the drugs and now the parentage of his children. The Media have funeralized him in at least three places. Don't they know that his mother is a devout Jehovah's witness? No they don't. When they find out, we will be introduced to their research about the beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses. And, when this circus is over, will they apologize for disecting, his whole life?!! NO! Thank God for his talents. And, even though we dislike the way Joe Jackson terrorized him as a child, we thank Joe for his twisted dream of fame. Out of all of that came a gifted, gentle soul.

I must be losing my mind or is it everyone else. I already knew that the unemployment rate was highest for African-Americans. We didn't need a report from NYU to tell us that. We have always been at the bottom of the totem pole. We did not need a report to tell us that our African-American males are in the majority in prisons or that education is still the key to better lives. They did not mention the reasons for their conclusions. However, ask any African-American and he/she will tell you that institutionalized racism still exists. Perception or misperception still exists. You can tell my skin color when I walk through the door.

Man In The Mirror

A unit in in my Senior englsh class was entitled "The Man In The Mirror. It centered on self-esteem. We played the song and talked about Michael's search for his own self esteem or lack of. At that time, I feared that he would not live past 40. I just knew that if he had to go to jail, he would kill himself. Well, God took over. Even in death, he is still alive. When the chief musician invented music, he destined the best singers, lyricists, instrumentlists, mixers and promoters to make sure that music would be used in every avenue of life. Michael's music spans the gamut. The Media won't let us forget all of his problems with his family and the courts. However, we can look beyond that and listen to his music and his messages in his music. We can look at his growth from childhood to adulthood and see what his was seeking. We can be proud that we are alive to have been able to see him perform and to listen to his music and to view his videos. His videos had a story to tell. No one else has mastered that. I am so sad that he won't be able to see his children grow, but I am glad that he won't have to face the world's scrutiny. God blessed his with talent. And, we were blessed to have witnessed that talent.

Some people see Sarah Paplin as a mother protecting her child. I see her as seeking a forum to stay on the National scene. Her daughter had sex in her own home. Her daughter was not taught by her mother about protection or abstaining. Her daughter was underaged. Her 18 year old daughter is now telling other teens (who have seen better role models than she) not to have sex before marriage. I don't think so.
NO, Governor Palin, Dave made a cheap joke to get a laugh. Comedians will tell you that all is fair. He had the wrong daughter. A-Rod did not comment. You should have let it roll off of your back. You paraded your children onto the national scene. Your baby and Bristol's baby. Let it be. He apologized and it was sincere. Those of us who have watched him for 25 years can see that.
Your 30 minutes of fame are over. Go back to your studies. Put on your list of studies how the Baptists, Mehtodists, Catholics, Muslims, and other faiths feel about teenage sex and unwed mothers. Learn the history of what many of those girls had to endure(still do). Where was your religion at the time?

Okay, I listen to Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright every morning on a local am station. He blends history with the Bible. The exodus of the Jews can be directly related to the four hundred years of slavery to freedom of the slave, Negra, Colored, Negro, Black, Afro-American, and African-American. Why not talk to members of that congregation and let them tell you and show you their neighborhood. Why not go to the Akiba Bookstore and buy CD's and listen to the full sermons. The Media has taken what they wanted from his sermons. He is not anti-anything. As a minister, he calls the word and the world as he sees them.

Look at the recent killings in the name of Pro-life and anti-semitism and racism. It ain't over just because there is an African-American president. In fact, the shooting at the Holocaust Museum might have been because the president of mixed heritage visited a concentrtion camp
and laid a wreath. This man's hatred of Jews, African-Americans and mixed marriages boiled over.

And pro-life. Save the fetus from abortion ,but kill a life . Isn't that an oxymoron?

So much has been going on. First of all, Letterman's joke was tasteless. He has been an equal opportunity critic of both parties. He has spared no one. We knew that he wasn't talking about a 14 year old. We knew to whom he was referring. He is sardonic. I have not like some of his jokes, but he is in no danger of losing his job. And, unless he tells us he is a Democrat, I think he is apolitical. Both sides are fair game.
Would someone tell Sarah Palin to study all of the history books she can find before stepping on the national scene again? Then get a mannual on how not to let her children have sex in her home. Then teach her daughters about using protection. Then teach herself that she wears too much make up. Let me stop. It is better to be thought a fool than to open her mouth and remove all doubt. Think before she(and David also) speaks.

Haven't been here for a while. But I have been watching the Republicans try to find something to criticize about President Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court. Minorities are more passionate and compassionate about discrimination. We have faced it all of our lives. We can recognize even when it is subtle. She will be confirmed.

Okay. Will someone tell little white children that there are real people who are brown skin? In the grocery line and at the pharmacy, they stare at you. I want to say something to their parents who really should teach them manners. It is rude to stare. And, they should know that Obama and we share a skin color. They should know that there are millions of people with the same skin color. I guess it must be their first time seeing a real African-American. I am still old school. Don't stare at me. It's a reminder of the old days of discrimination.

I woke up Tuesday morning with the worst chills. I could not get warm. I cut on my little heater and got under my snuggie. I had prepared to go to Church where I volunteer on Tuesdays, but I couldn't really sit up. So, I called and told them that I could not come. I lay back and went to sleep. When Iwoke up at about 11:00 am, I wasn't shivering anymore, but My fever had spiked to 101. So, I took aspirin and drank juices and water all day. I ate some Italian soup with corn and potatoes. Well, that kept me up all of Tuesday night. I just can't eat corn. so, here I am, wobbly but I will get there. When I think of others who are really sick, I rejoice that I have a bathroom and a bed with a roof over my head. I thank God for blessing me

Hello, the weather is, as usual, messing up my health. My lack of insurance is messing up my finances. You see, after telling me that they would pay for everything up to June 1, 2009, the SHBP sent my a bill for appontments done this month. Am I going to pay to them? No, I can't. My budget can barely pay what it is meant to pay. I have got to move from here. But where? And, who is there to help me? That's enough of feeling sorry for myself.
The News. Yes, the CIA has been lying about a lot of things.They lie or don't tell the whole truth when it suits them. It's called " for National Security." and, when the FBI, CIA, IRS, and the Social Security speak, they can't be contradicted. And, when the truth comes out, they won't apologize. So , I prefer to believe the Speaker of the House .
Teenagers have been getting pregnant before we even knew that there was a Palin in Alaska. She cannot tell my young people what to do or what not to do. She had sex in her own home. WHERE WERE THE PARENTS? Governor Palin needs to study her geography, her US and World History, the meaning of knowing when to open her mouth about certain things, and what real family values are. In other words, make sure that your own house is in order first.

The old saying is "you can't fight City Hall." Well, you can't fight the IRS nor Social Security either. Because of a rule of which I wasn't made aware until it was too late, I won't have any health insurance until July, 2010. And, appealing to the IRS is like appealing to my aunt when she was ready to whip me as a child. I am resigned to perhaps dying before I get any more insurance. I am just feeling sorry for myself. I went back to the Social Security office but it was the same answer. Iam just plain tired. Frustration doesn't help.Nothing does.

This insurance thing is grating on my health. I have to have a test that deals with my aortic valve. It seem that it is narrow and they want to find out how narrow it is. I have a heart murmur. Hasn't bothered me all of my life, but it seems, now that I may not have any insurance to cover all of this mess, now it is bothering me.

Soggy, but "in my right mind. About to lose my SHBP on June 1,2009. Now I know how it feels not to have insurance and to need it. If I get sick, I'll just have to go to the emergency room. However, I really am not worried. I have written everyone I know.I now know why the elderly have to choose between adequate food and housing and insurance. One is"damned if she does and damned if she doesn't."

The dizziness was due to a very low blood pressure. So, he took me off of all of my blood pressure medicine. For at least two days until it goes back up. I feel much better today. It was a beautiful day. God's in his Heaven and all is right with my world. Yes, even all of my problems seem so minute. A dear friend buried her father today. Another friend buried her cousin. But I saw a strength and a love for Jesus in both of them. I did not see any panic or fear. So for tonight, All is well.

Good Morning!
Health is dizzy, but I can't go to a doctor, because my insurance won't pay for it. I am still fighting the state health benefits plan and MEDICARE. I written all of the parties. I just have to believe that there are some human beings behind those rules that we don't know about until it's too late.
Now, Mr. Obama has finished his first 100 days. They act like he was supposed to solve all of America's woes in 100days. The good news is we have three years and eight months to complete his agenda. No matter what the polls say, he is the President. Keep him in prayer.
I am so proud of Mrs. Obama. She is showing America who we are and what we have been doing for centuries. We have been taking care of our homes, our husbands, our children. We have been stretching soup, ham bones, chicken, etc. to feed our families. Our homes have been immaculate (remember the plastic covers). Our children have been disciplined. And we have always looked good (our hair and our clothes.).Thank God that America has not melted our culture into a bland pot with no identity.

Well, I am in the midst of a Lupus flare. I haven't had one in a long time. That means that the muscles hurt in strange places, and I get extemely tired. Well I have learned to raise my prednisone medication for a while, then gradually lower it to normal levels. I still have pain in the left shoulder. The x-ray showed no abnormality. I probably could benefit from a cortisone shot in the joint, but because my insurance situation is still ridiculous, I can't get one. Don't panic. I did that Tuesday. Now, I have some more places to turn. And, remember, if I am a true believer, I have to rely on my faith. But what do we do? We panic first instead of praying first. Forgive me, Lord. Today, I am smiling. I still say that I am going to die because of the IRS and Social Security. Because of their rules that they don't tell anyone, I will be taken to the hospital and someone will say that I can't be treated, because I don't have the proper credentials. The IRS says that more taxes should be taken out of my pension. Well, if more taxes are taken, I won't have enough money on which to live.

I find out today that I have no insurance with NJ DirEct 15.They refused to pay for my mammogram, because they say that I should have Medicare A and B. I have A( hospital), but because I had such good insurance when I retired, I didn't get B. Now they say that after 24 months, I should have picked up the B. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL JANUARY 2, 2010. NOW, I AM SCREWED. NO ONE WROTE TO ME, E-MAILED ME OR PHONED ME. I DID NOT KNOW. NOW, I HAVE PRESCRITPIONS THAT NEED TO BE REFILLED. I MAY HAVE TO HAVE A TEST DONE ON MY SHOULDER. I am angry. Imagine in this time, when I could get sick any minute, I have no lab fees, doctor's visits, etc. and I have no money of my own. Do you wonder why people want to kill themselves or go on a rampage. I AM NOT GOING TO HURT ME OR ANYONE ELSE. I HAVE TO STICK AROUND TO SEE THE ENDINGS OF SOME OF THIS DRAMA. BUT IF THIS DOESN'T WORK OUT, THEN WHAT?

The blood pressure dropped considerably prompting me to have to stop some medication for a while. Then there is still the arm that radiates pain from the shoulder to the elbow. The doctor gave me some exercises to do until he can read the x-ray. I haven't really been into the News. We have been getting the lawn ready for the summer. While I like all of this work, I really can't do it anymore. I really have got to find a smaller place with less expenses. God gave me this opportunity, and I wish that I could keep it up. Physically and financially, Ican't.

Good Morning. It is sad in the area because the voice of the Phillies died yesterday in the broadcast booth at the Nationals Stadium in DC. Harry Kalas just collapsed and died. Think of it. No pain( that we know ).God just said " It's time. No good byes, just come on." We are all sad, but since I have been in this area, his distinctive voice was passionate when it came to the Phillies. They got on our nerves with their play sometimes, but he was always honest about them. The good thing is that he loved to go to work. Some of us went to work to make the money. He made the money while he was enjoying his job. Think about that. I love teaching and I loved the students and some of my colleagues. I really did love the work. And, I got paid for doing what I loved.
You are already blessed, so enjoy "Jesus' joy."

This arm has been a bit much, so I got the cortisone shot and now I need to stop using it so much. In the mean time, Bill O'Reilly has gotten me mad. Collin Powell said the our educatuional system is a moral failure. He is right. When children come to school and curse the teacher out, and the parent comes and curses teacher out, what does that say? When the child has no manners or is undisciplined, whose fault is that ? When the child is hungry or not dressed properly, whose fault is that? SEND ME A CHILD THAT IS TEACHABLE, AND I WILL WORK FROM THERE. I have a fellow teacher who keeps food, tee shirts and toiletries in her desk drawers. We always keep paper, pens, pencils, and notebooks and folders in the classroom. I need to stop. I was in such pain with my left arm, so I did not try to write anything, yesterday. However, today, I wish that I was running the government. We are so nice or naive that we stop to help anyone. Thus a suicide bomb. A ship is taken. We have got to stop being so nice. Ask questions and be more cautious with strangers. Everyone does not have America's morals. Yes, we do have morals. Yes, we do care about poverty in other places. Yes, we can still help, but we must have some parameters.

And, we have got to learn to mind our own business. I have experienced lonliness for some few years. So, when love finds two people, who am I to tell those two that they cannot love each other? We need to mind our own business. Marriage is not going to die. Divorce may be trying to kill it, but it is not going to die. Love needs to be defined . Parents need to show their children what marriage means and what true love is. Children need to see more affection in the home and much less fighting, cursing, mental and physical abuse. The children who don't see love and affection in the home will not want to marry. They emulate what they see. If the you see Dad hitting Mom, they will think that that is normal. The Media needs to stop re defining love as "lust and avarice and materialism." Let me stop, because I can go on. All of my siblings are divorced. And, I have never been married.

AARP

Remember when we were 48 and the AARP sent us applications? We were appalled. However, when I turned 50 and began to travel a lot, I found this organization very useful. Now, I am here to have my income taxes done free. And, I am sitting in the library in Haddon Neights where I taught for 32 years. And, I am still in pain. Well, let me diagnose my self. Rotator cuff problems. I have all of the symptoms. And, I was lifting those giant loose leaf notebooks at church last week. So, I used heat last night and pain killers yesterday. I can only take four in a 24 hour period. It hurts really. So, I know that I must go to the doctor's office. I need to rake the leaves in my yard to get ready for the first cutting. But, I simply can't do it. It will get done. I have learned not to get anxious abut anything. I still have joy. As soon as I waled out the door, it started to thunder, but I still have joy.

I am in such pain in my left shoulder. Both of my shoulders have come out of sockets on some occasions( right one three times and left one twice. I was reaching for my bedside lamp, at the bulletin board at school, closing the back door to my balcony, etc.) Anyway, I went to church, but I did not sing. I have it in a sling, but I had to take it out when I drove. I have no strong pain killers. I know that I will have to go to the rheumatologist this week, and trust me, I will go. I want a cortisone shot

However, it's such a beautiful day. I haven't looked at or listened to the news. I am getting ready for some baseball.

First, I go to CNN to see and get the World News. Then I wake up and turn to Fox and get the antistuff. Then I get frustrated. They are doing it again. When Jeremiah Wright preached, he did an entire sermon. They picked out sound bites that seemed incendiary and focussed on them. Now, they picked up the word "arrogance" and are now focussing on that. Well, we do act like we know everything and that we are the police of the world. We do want things our way. I guess we weren't supposed to say it out loud. Well, we have an honest president now. Things are shaping up to be an interesting Spring.

Lupus Woes

Anyone with an arthritic cousin know that early Spring is painful. For the last few days, my joints have been very achy. I am using my cane more than usual. However, I have been enduring this for over 30 years, so this too, shall pass. On the "Michelle" watch, she matches up and even surpasses France's first lady who is a model. But it was her speech to the young ladies at a British school that let me know that she is the "real thing." When you look at where you are and look back at where you were, Thank you Jesus, that all that our parents and we went through succeeded. Careers, marriages, children, families, travels, even illnesses constitute our successes. And, we, like the Obamas, had/have Christ on our side. They can't speak too much about their religious beliefs publicly(People will equate him with Dr.Wright again), but we know that they know who the third person was/ is during the campaign and now during this time. That confidence isn't arrogance. It's the feeling that "He can do all things through Christ whostrengthens him."Be Blessed!!

Oh Yes!! I am having a ball watching the Obamas show the world that America is so diverse and still so cultured and mannerable. I am sick of them saying that Mrs. Obama reached beyond the limits of protocal. She and the Queen touched. An act of friendliness. An act of kindness. An act of gentleness. And, the Queen responded in kind. Maybe she needed a touch of kindness that day. Some of us were brought up with touching. GET OVER IT. She looks good and she acts better than good.
Tom Joyner said that Mr. Obama has that subtle coolness of Marvin Gaye. Take a second look as he walks. It's there. That unmistakeable walk is there. Have you noticed that he does not talk from script? Lawdly, this is going to be an interesting four years.
Okay, now why are we getting so many things from China when their products are proving defective?!! Lead in the toys and the dry wall materials are defective. But yet Americans who could have made a better product are out of work. Cheaper to manufacture does not mean better.
I do my best writing early in the morning. This blog gives me a chance to vent. Remember the so-called diaries of our youth. I still have one of mine. Maybe we all should write things down. Venting helps the blood pressure. Next, I read the BIBLE and the Daily Word and then I will pray. My day has begun.

Is anyone watching Mrs. Obama? She is "representing." She exercises. She eats well. She is a working mother. She is a "helpmate" to her husband. This is going to be an interesting four years. I remember telling my nieces to walk with their heads up. They did not like being at the back of the line because of their last names and their height. They also did not like being taller than the boys. Just look at Mrs. Obama. walking tall and looking good.

4/10/09-Greetings

This is no joke. Hopefully, I will be able to write something everday. I thought that I would put my thoughts in writng. I have years of essays, editorials, and eulogies in loose leaf notebooks that will never be published. But, as I watched our president and first lady this morning (6:00 a.m.), I had to write it down. It is just a wonderful, awesome, and magnificent blessing to see 'someone like us' is the position of power. Let's face it, we have four years to be proud and to pray for his success. We have four years to wonder where these people were when we were raising our children to have manners, to do their chores as well as their homework, and to respect their elders. Didn't some of us grow up with gardens, Target, K-Mart, Kohl's and other normal clothing stores? However, since Michelle let the world know that she shops almost anywhere there is a bargain for her and her girls, those stores are in vogue.

That' all right.

However, let's not forget that racism now wears a suit and sits in corporate America and rides in some police cars.
